“EDUCATIONAL JAPA”: Passion for Peace Initiative (PPI) is dedicated to supporting children and youth in their journey toward academic excellence, peace building, and ethical development. Through its mentorship programs, PPI provides young individuals with the guidance and resources needed to succeed academically without engaging in examination malpractices. The organization instills values of honesty, perseverance, and integrity, helping to shape youth into responsible, hardworking citizens. PPI’s work ensures that the next generation is equipped to contribute meaningfully to society, fostering peace, unity, and leadership in Nigeria’s diverse communities. By nurturing these young leaders, PPI is laying the foundation for a brighter, more peaceful future.
We are on a mission to revolutionize our educational system and create a value based system where integrity coupled with positive mental and mindset shift drives students to academic excellence.
We are therefore excited to introduce our innovative mentorship program, designed specifically for SS 2 pupils in schools that were available at the grand opening ceremony of the Illumination Program. This continuous comprehensive one-year program aims to empower students with the skills, knowledge, and mindset necessary to excel academically and become valuable contributors to society.
The program’s structure consists of bi-monthly sessions, held on the first and last week of every month. During these sessions, our experienced mentors will provide guidance on:
• Preparing for WASSCE
• Effective time management and study habits
• Utilizing social media to enhance academic performance
• Goal-setting and self-motivation
In addition to academic support, our program includes regular follow-up on students’ performance in school, ensuring they stay on track and motivated. Quarterly town hall meetings held with PTAs, parents and teachers.
We are proud to partner with esteemed universities such as University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Ojaja University, and Kwara State University (KWASU), among others. This partnership offers a unique opportunity for exceptional students to secure straight admission into their preferred institutions upon excelling in examinations like JAMB and WASSCE.
The ultimate goal of our mentorship program is to instill in students the understanding that they have a vital role to play in their own lives, their communities, and the nation as a whole. We believe that by empowering these young minds, we can shape a brighter future for our society.
